  3. They're un-American...it's our patriotic duty to kill them. Just like it's our patriotic duty to harass and liberals and the educated here on the homefront. According to Bill Kristol in today's NY Times, asking questions about important issues does not constitute patriotism, only doing what the Lords of the Land dictate be done.

  7. Sorry Ted,

Empathy is a trait that is horribly lacking in this TV-addled 21st Century America.

Most Americans don't give a damn about how many Iraqis were killed or maimed for this bullshit war.

The only way it'll end is if they are made to see the cost paid by their fellow Americans.

It's always been that way. Remember the Civil Rights Movement? No one gave a damn when it was blacks who were being beaten or disappeared from county jails never to be heard from again.

But when three white yankees got assassinated on their way to a Civil Rights Demonstration, boy, you couldn't keep white America from turning into Civil Rights fanatics.

  8. I would guess that the "three white yankees" "gave a damn," but then one of them was black, so maybe hand2hand doesn't care as much as he or she pretends to.

Freedom Summer really happened - and a lot of people cared more than someone who doesn't know what he's talking about probably cares about anything.
