Cartoon for December 17

Mitt Romney really, really, really wants to be president. Really.
Really gross.

  2. Talk about missing the point.
    Look up: "analogy"

  3. Dude, you really ought to consider publishing less. 'Cause I'm a news junkie and half the time I can't even tell what the hell you're talking about.

  4. I dunno Ted, analogy or not, kind of a shit move to write that about Obama. Paints him like Clinton - a hypocritical appeaser in the same vein as Leiberman - and that's untrue.

  5. "Analogy or not"? It IS an analogy. The cartoon only works if you read it that way.

Karen, I'm all for publishing less, but not just because there's so much news that people don't follow it all! Mitt Romney's "Love Me, I'm a Christian Just Like You" speech was a big story.

  6. Christ you guys are sensitive. I thought it was a great comic!

  7. Excellent cartoon. You're quite correct that Romney's bigotry needs to be exposed and mocked, as this does.

Ironically, while your cartoon is getting widespread appreciation, it is not always accurately recognized. For example, this page copies your toon but praises your friend Tom Tomorrow for having written it, even though your name is quite legible within it. It's frustrating when even the people on our side are not very observant.

Good luck getting that one straightened out.

  8. Hilarious strip, Ted! (The hooded heads creeping into the frame are especially funny.)

If the dolts writing in had heard (or understood) Romney's "Christians-united-against-atheists" speech, they'd understand that your target is Romney, not Obama...

  9. Even when you come out and say exactly what the analogy is in the first panel...
Karen, if Ted is not considering hanging it up after your reaction, he's a stronger man than I. IF you read news like you read comics, I can see why you are clueless.
anyways, Obama does not need Ted to make himself look like a stooge and a push-over:

"The insurance and drug companies can have a seat at the table in our health-care debate; they just can't buy all the chairs.".
OOOOH, don't start getting any crazy ideas, Obama!!

  10. Congress has just decided to look into steroid use in major league baseball. This country has no other pressing problems. Why don't you people follow the leaders and pay attention to what's REALLY important!

  11. K well I guess I missed the part on how Mitt is a bigot. I do know the KKK and the confederate flag are products of southern Democrats (hello KKK Byrd).

  12. Scary how everyone now wants to court the Evangelical vote.

Mormon Romney; "Bomber" McCain; and Benito Guiliani.

Not to mention all the talk of "faith" from the others.

Christians are fine, but these Born Again Christian Zionist nuts should be ignored, not kissed up to. Their asses should be kicked, not kissed.

  13. edward, I don't know... can you really imagine kkk members and confederate flag wavers pulling the lever for Carter, Clinton, or Edwards?

  14. Angelo,
I imagine Robert KKK Byrd probably voted for Carter and Clinton. BTW Clinton mentor J William Fulbright was a racist. Al Gore Sr voted against the Civil Rights Act as did many racist dixicrats. And again, the KKK was started by Democrats. Here are some racist libs quotes:

Some junior high n*gger kicked Steve's ass while he was trying to help his brothers out; junior high or sophomore in high school. Whatever it was, Steve had the n*gger down. However it was, it was Steve's fault. He had the n*gger down, he let him up. The n*gger blindsided him."

-- Roger Clinton, the President's brother on audiotape

"You'd find these potentates from down in Africa, you know, rather than eating each other, they'd just come up and get a good square meal in Geneva."
    -- Fritz Hollings (D, S.C.)

"I'll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years."

-- Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One according Ronald Kessler's Book, "Inside The White House"
